1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") set out the agreement between you ("the Client") and Tranquil Touch Cleaning Ltd ("the Company") for the provision of cleaning services at the Client's premises. By booking our services, you agree to these Terms.

2. Company Information

Tranquil Touch Cleaning Ltd is a private limited company registered in Scotland under company number [847379], with its registered office at [Office 1, Technology House, 9 Newton Place, Glasgow, G3 7PR].

We specialise in professional cleaning services across Glasgow and the surrounding areas, with a focus on providing a safe, calm, and supportive experience for all clients.

3. Our Services

We provide residential cleaning services, including:

  • Basic cleaning

  • Deep cleaning

  • Aromatherapy finishing

  • Plant watering

  • Tea and tidy service

  • Other optional care-based add-ons

We do not provide:

  • Laundry or changing bed linens

  • Dishwashing

  • Wall spot cleaning or deep stain removal

  • Decluttering or organizing

  • Carpet cleaning, wall washing, heavy mildew or mold remediation

  • Pest cleanup or biohazard situations

  • Furniture moving or lifting heavy objects

  • Post-renovation or construction-level debris

  • Carpet shampooing or steam cleaning

  • Hoarding-level or extreme clutter cleanups

  • Post-renovation/construction clean-ups

  • Outdoor/window exterior cleaning

  • Pet waste cleanup

  • Deep appliance disassembly

4. Client Responsibilities

The Client agrees to:

  • Provide safe and reasonable access to the property.

  • Disclose any health hazards or risks that may affect the safety of our team (e.g., broken glass, animal waste).

  • Ensure pets are secured if they may interfere with cleaning tasks.

  • Remove or safely store any valuable, delicate, or irreplaceable items prior to our arrival.

  • Ensure that no individuals present in the home during the time of service have a history of violent or sexual offense convictions.

While we are fully insured, we cannot be held responsible for damage to items that were not properly secured, stored, or disclosed prior to service.

5. Booking, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

  • All appointments must be booked in advance via our booking form.

  • Cancellations must be made with at least 72 hours’ notice for a full refund.

  • Cancellations with less than 72 hours’ notice will result in the client forfeiting their 50%deposit.

  • Rescheduling must be made with at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • We understand that emergencies can happen. If you need to reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice due to a genuine emergency, please contact us as soon as possible. At our discretion, we may offer a one-time reschedule without penalty.

    Any additional rescheduling will result in the forfeiture of your 50% deposit and will require a new deposit to rebook.

We reserve the right to refuse future bookings if repeated last-minute cancellations occur.

6. Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are provided prior to booking and confirmed by booking form, invoice, email or written agreement.

  • Prices are inclusive of VAT (if applicable).

  • A 50% deposit will be charged when scheduling your cleaning appointment. The remaining 50% of your service fee will be automatically charged to the same card used for your deposit immediately after your clean is completed unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • We accept all major debit and credit cards, which are securely processed through Stripe at the time of booking.

If the remaining balance cannot be successfully charged to your card after the service is completed, we will contact you via email and/or text to notify you. If payment is not received within 24 hours of the completed service, a late fee of 5% may be applied for each week the balance remains unpaid.

7. Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are dissatisfied with any part of the cleaning service:

  • You must report it via email at [support@tranquiltouchcleaning.co.uk] within 24 hours of the service.

  • We will return to re-clean the affected area at no additional cost.

  • Refunds are not given if we were not contacted within this timeframe.

8. Liability and Insurance

  • We hold public liability insurance up to £1,000,000.

  • Our liability for loss or damage is limited to the value of the affected item or £250, whichever is lower.

  • We are not liable for:

    • Pre-existing damage

    • Normal wear and tear

    • Items of sentimental or irreplacable value

    • Damage caused by faulty fixtures, appliances, or surfaces

9. Access to Property

The Client is responsible for ensuring access to the property at the scheduled time. This may be arranged in one of the following ways:

  • Being present at the time of service

  • Leaving a key in a secure, agreed-upon location

  • Providing access codes for doors or lockboxes

  • Coordinating with a neighbor, building manager, or concierge

If we are unable to access the property at the agreed time and no prior arrangements have been made, the appointment will be treated as a cancellation and the 50% deposit will be retained.

We understand that emergencies can happen. If you’re unable to provide access due to a genuine emergency, please reach out as soon as possible. At our discretion, we may offer a one-time reschedule without penalty.

10. Health and Safety

We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue service if we determine that the environment is unsafe, unsanitary, or otherwise inappropriate for our staff. This includes—but is not limited to—aggressive behavior, harassment, the presence of individuals under the influence, or any situation that causes reasonable concern for the safety or well-being of our team.

In such cases, service will not be completed and a full refund will be issued.

11. Utility Access
Clients must ensure that all essential utilities are active and accessible at the time of service. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Running water

  • Electricity

  • Adequate lighting

  • Safe indoor temperatures (if weather conditions require)

If these utilities are not available at the time of the scheduled clean, Tranquil Touch Cleaning reserves the right to cancel or reschedule the service, and a cancellation fee may apply.

12. Trash Disposal
Tranquil Touch Cleaning does not provide trash removal services. Clients are responsible for ensuring that sufficient space is available in on-site bins or designated collection areas for any trash or debris collected during the clean. Large-scale trash removal or hauling must be arranged separately by the client.

13. Force Majeure

We will not be held responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to unforeseen traffic, severe weather, illness, strikes, or government restrictions.

14. Data Protection

15. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Scottish law. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

16. Amendments

We reserve the right to update or amend these Terms at any time. Any changes will be communicated via email during future bookings and published on our website. Continued use of our services after such updates will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.
